CRZ YOGA U-Back Longline Review: Butterluxe Again, This Time With a Scoop Back
We already did the Butterluxe square-neck crop. This is the same trademark fabric in a different sentence: black longline sports bra, wide straps, a scoop U-back, a silver logo on the band, a hem that covers more rib than a crop. Twenty-eight dollars. Thirty-six hundred reviews. A 4.5. Longline is extra fabric. It is not extra impact. If you wanted a run, Yvette still has the hook.
If you wanted a square neck to coffee, the crop. If you wanted a U that shows in an open-back tank and a band that tucks into high-waist leggings, stay. Straps still do not adjust. That religion did not convert.
The U is the photograph. The fabric is still the review.
Thick, matte, a bit of compression, a shelf without a hook. Average busts get a shape. Fuller busts get a longline that becomes a tube with a pretty back. Size the chest. The Size Guide is a tank chart here. Between, up if the longline rides when you reach. No sliders: if the strap is short, this SKU is not yours. The front is a plain scoop — less fashion than the square crop, more coverage.
Black is the one that forgives. Pair with high-waist bottoms or the longline is just a longer crop. The U will show. That is the point in a racer tank. Under a tee it is a smooth bulk.
A longline. The 4.5 is still the hand. It is not a hook-back sports bra.
Impact, wash, vs the crop
Same Butterluxe rules: cold, hang, no velcro. Heat kills the trademark. The 4.5 is fabric plus a back people wanted, plus people who jumped in it and wrote about bounce. Those shoppers wanted Yvette. CRZ sold a U-back top. The crop is a neckline. This is a back. Buy the one you will actually show.
Who it's for
Yoga, a U that is allowed to show, a longline over the rib, an average bust. Not a race, not a square neck, not adjustable straps. Size the chest, hang the Butterluxe, wear the back on purpose.
Pros
- Same Butterluxe hand as the crop — the 4.5 is not a fluke
- U-back that is a real cut, not a printed scoop
- Longline that tucks where a crop gaps
- Opaque black that works as the top
- A different job from high-impact and from the square neck
Cons
- Still not high-impact
- Straps still do not adjust
- Shelf is light for a full bust
- Longline is torso-picky
- Heat and velcro wreck the trademark
A $28 Butterluxe U-back longline. Size the chest, hang it, and do not buy it to run — or as a second square crop.
